The agency Dr. Emil Benatov & Partners was opened in March 1993 and became one of the first private businesses dealing with intellectual property protection in Eastern Europe and in the Republic of Bulgaria. Today it offers a wide spectrum of services in the field of intellectual property protection and appraisal of non-tangible assets. The high professional level, experience, vigour, knowledge and excellent communication skills of our employees are in the basis of our success in solving our clients’ problems numbering about 4000 big companies and firms from all over the world. A new branch of services was founded after Bulgaria joined the European Patent Convention in 2002. European patent attorneys Dr. Emil Benatov, Dr. Samuil Benatov and lawyer Valentin Benatov successfully represent our clients’ interests before the European Patent Office. In the main law offices of the bureau in Sofia work: • three Bulgarian and European patent attorneys; • two appraisers of non-tangible assets; • a law expert dealing with court matters concerning intellectual property; • two paralegals in the field of intellectual property protection; • five translators, specialists in English, Ukrainian, Russian, German and French languages. Since 1994 I have been representing the bureau Dr. Emil Benatov & Partners in Kiev, Ukraine in connection with intellectual property protection for foreign clients in Ukraine and countries of the former USSR, and also for Ukrainian clients in Bulgaria and other countries from the European Patent Convention. I am glad to note that since November 2002 I have been working in my new capacity of a Ukrainian patent attorney. I hope that our further activities as Ukrainian representatives of the bureau Dr. Emil Benatov & partners will continue to assist foreign applicants in intellectual property protection in our country and will help to strengthen the position of Ukrainian applicants in the intellectual property markets of Ukraine, Bulgaria and the European patent community. |
