The heirs of JRR Tolkien sue New Line Cinema for £75 million, claiming the studios have inflated costs to avoid paying royalties. The film rights were sold in 1969 for about £100,000 and a percentage of the royalties. The suit also relates to the ongoing production of The Hobbit.
