Sorry for the late reply. I've been snowed under with a copyright litigation matter and hence the delay. I think your question is too general. However, if you look at countries where the specialised IP courts have been established recently, i.e. Thailand, Malaysia and etc, it will be correct to say that Judges are incline to give injunctive relief against infringement. In relation to damages, many cases from China indicated that damages are not satisfactory, i.e low amount being awarded.
However, if compensation and damages are not important issues to client, then criminal actions by the relevant authorities are best for client to fight agaisnt piracy and counterfeiting.
